"big" Jagannatha

This 17ft tall "Big" Sri Jagannatha (Lord of the Universe) was built for a series of dance music events in film studio locations in north west London in 1999/2000.

I was involved in the production design of big Jagannatha and in the management of the events.

The amazing looking figure with the huge smile and wide eyes is a 17ft model that I was involved in designing and producing in 1998.

My role was to take a 3D scan of a small model and scale it up to 33ft tall. During this process it was agreed that the figure should be changed to 17ft tall because he would be too big to fit into most of the venues in London!

From the initial conception to the completion of the figure it took one year and cost just under 12 thousand pounds.

Now Jagannatha is "resting" out in West Wales before appearing again when He has a trailer/temple built.
